Frank Terhorst was appointed the Global Head of Seeds at Bayer on June 1, 2013.
Frank has worked in the agriculture industry for over 20 years with experience in crop strategy, crop protection, strategic business initiatives, business modeling, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, life- cycle crop management, and fruit and vegetables business strategy.
Frank began his career in Crop Protection in Germany and has held various positions in global portfolio management, marketing and controlling, management support and Managing Director/Country Head when also based in the Netherlands and Italy. In 2011 he held the position of Head of Strategy for Fruits and Vegetables and Insecticides in Germany until his current job as Global Head of Seeds.
Frank speaks five languages German, English, Italian, Dutch and conversational Spanish. He is a graduate of Wirtschaftsassist (akin to a B.A. in Economics). He enjoys running, diving, golf, traveling and being with his family.
