Many times this question comes up in regard to a misconception that Monsanto owns various food companies. This is actually a myth; Monsanto does not own any food companies. Monsanto has business sites and offices for seed production and other manufacturing facilities, as well as research and learning centers around the world that support our commitment to bringing a broad range of solutions to help nourish our growing world. You can find information on Monsanto facilities around the world on our website.
As a multinational company, we use subsidiaries to help organize and operate our business, often based on geographic considerations and functional activities; two you may recognize are Seminis Vegetable Seeds and The Climate Corporation. Each year we include a list of our major subsidiaries in our annual report, which is available here.
