Anne Cundiff is a registered and licensed dietitian with Hy-Vee on Fleur Drive in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, Anne works full time providing customers information on all aspects of nutrition in and out of the store.

Anne graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and attended Iowa State University for her dietetic internship. Prior to working with Hy-Vee, Anne spent seven years as a clinical dietitian at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Anne offers a wide range of programs and services - wellness, cooking, weight loss, diabetes, heart health, food allergies and other disease-specific needs. Anne is certified in Adult Weight Management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics - March 2003.

Q: Why are so many grocery stores and other markets so big on nonGMO foods and products if this is a safe way of producing food?

A: I do not have exact numbers for my particular retailer, but in our nation, around 20-25 percent of foods found in most retail locations are non-GMO. As a registered dietitian, nutrition expert and retail dietitian, my focus is to provide my clients and customers with sound nutrition advice based on science as well as meeting my clients and customers where they are in their wellness journey.
