People protest GMOs for the same reason they protest any issue. Protests are commonly formed when a group of people doesn’t feel their beliefs and values align with an issue and they want to take a stand against the issue. In the case of GMOs, ethical, moral, or religious values and beliefs and an individuals’ perception of the issue may be leading them to protest. Each individual has their own set of values, beliefs, perceptions, experiences, and thought processes that influence their opinions and attitudes on an given topic or issue.
