Monsanto has had a presence in Asia since the 1940s, and for more than four decades, Singapore has been the regional headquarters for Monsanto’s Asian-Pacific business. This is because it is an excellent environment for both our business operations and our employees to partner with farmers and improve their lives. Singapore is also geographically well situated, enabling us to easily reach and work with our farmer customers to improve farm productivity across the Asia Pacific region, in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam. For clarity, we do not own any farmland in Singapore; we only have business offices there.
