GMO Answers was created to do a better job answering your questions — no matter what they are — about GMOs. The biotech industry stands 100 percent behind the health and safety of the GM crops on the market today, but we acknowledge that we haven’t done the best job communicating about them – what they are, how they are made, what the safety data says. Our goal is to have an open dialogue about GMOs and share science-based information.

More than a hundred experts in plant science, nutrition, farming and other disciplines volunteer to contribute their subject matter expertise and answer questions on GMO Answers. Science is vetted through community and peer review, and we welcome this practice on GMO Answers.

Dr. Peter Davies from Cornell University shares his perspective on how to critically evaluate statements about GMOs in this article: “Is the debate about health and safety and GMO truly unbiased?” We invite you to read this article for more information.

If you have any additional questions, please ask.
