To date, no verifiable reports of negative impacts have been found from the cultivation or consumption of GM products. An important reason for the safety of GMOs is that they are extensively tested before commercialization.

“Prior to commercialization every GMO product is subjected to an extensive safety assessment which is reviewed by regulatory bodies all around the world. These products are the most studied foods ever consumed. The safety of the genes inserted, the proteins produced, the crop and any consumed fraction must be shown to be safe for humans, animals and the environment…. Humans have also been consuming these products since that time with no negative impact.”
