Deb Carstoiu has over a decade of experience developing and implementing award-winning communications programs on plant biotechnology. As the Director of Communications for Plant Biotechnology at CropLife International, the voice of the global plant science industry, she creates outreach programs that support local and regional communications activities in nearly 50 countries, as well as provides communications counsel on international trade, regulatory, and intellectual property issues related in plant biotechnology. Prior to joining CropLife International, Carstoiu managed communications programs for plant and animal biotechnology at the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). Carstoiu practiced in public relations agencies for nearly a decade before focusing on agricultural biotechnology.
