@Chad - how exactly was your question deflected? They answered it completely.
Look for food label "Non-GMO Project Verified". These foods have been tested and approved by the Non-GMO project to be GMO free.
To help clarify, the original question/link (and in context of the threads) I would like a way to identify GMOs by labels or bar codes as I am concerned about the health of GMOs (as supported in the link). Deflecting the topic could be pointing to another issue, to avoid addressing the question of health and labelling of GMOs.
@Chad - so you're saying the that inherent complexity of our diets, lifestyles, genetics, and all other environmental factors can simply be dismissed as a smokescreen for some mysterious company to make more profits? That's a gross simplification of all fields of biology and basically science as a whole. The fact is, we can not make a correlation between any food/nutrient and the overall health trends in the US without some empirical evidence or scientific basis.
But, your witty remark sure does make for sensational trolling!
deflecting issues is an old tactic used by industry as a smokescreen to create more uncertainty and confusion (usually for profits not health).
@AwakeaboutGMO And look at the increased amounts of sugar and trans fats in our diets. You don't suppose that could be a cause of the 'state of the health' of the American people?
They have been in the food for decades now, now look at the state of the health of the American people. Processed food, gmo's, fast food etc is destroying the health of millions of people its just a shame people cannot see it.
If GMOs were not safe in the short or long term we would all be dead. GMOs have been in the food supply for 20 years.
