    Wendelyn -- Thank you for your answer. It just seems that there are a lot of good ideas for applications of biotech to address specific problems that may not see the light of day due to the cost of development that limit commercial justification. I am not opposed to private entrepreneural activity in biotech trait development, but there may be some situations where publicly funded open source products might be valuable. Would like to see some regulatory reform, not just to increase transparency but perhaps to eliminate unnecessary burdens as well that stand as a barrier to greater democratization of the technology.
